Wissembourg: guided tour Northern Alsace

Discover Wissembourg, the Little Venice of Northern Alsace !

During a 1-hour guided tour of Wissembourg, we’ll discover the town’s long history together.

Along the banks of the Lauter, you’ll learn about the different periods of the town and the region, as well as the daily lives of the people of Alsace.

Wissembourg is also full of architectural treasures, including the surprising Maison du Sel and the town hall, a symbol of the different influences between France and Germany.

As the gateway to Germany, Wissembourg is at the crossroads of two countries and two cultures.

We’ll also be talking about the traditions of Northern Alsace, such as the famous Alsatian Kelsch.

In the heart of the vineyards, you’ll have the chance to drive along the Franco-German border to the German town of Schweigen.

You’ll learn more about Alsace’s turbulent history, from the Holy Roman Empire to the Franco-Prussian War, via the French period and the Revolution…
