Europe in Strasbourg has a long history!
For a long time, the city was the cause of discord between the famous Franco-German couple.
Today, Strasbourg is a symbol of this new understanding, and of the hard work of our ancestors who created the European Union and other political institutions.
At the heart of this walk, you’ll discover the Wacken district, a fast-growing and dynamic area. New buildings, bike paths, the Ill river running through, all at the foot of the European Parliament, the European Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe. I’ll take this opportunity to explain the specific features of these two institutions, which are not linked to the European Union.
The European District is full of secrets and anecdotes that you’ll discover on your tour.
Duration: 2 hours.
Price: €29/person. Groups of 1 to 6 people.
Please note: entrance to the European Parliament is not included in the tour. Entrance is free, but you can plan it at the end of my visit, as we’ll finish close to the Parliament. If you would like a guided tour of the inside of the European Parliament, please contact the European Parliament’s visitors’ service.
If you’re planning a visit to the Parliament, you’ll need a valid identity document (ID card or passport) to gain access to the buildings.
